GPS Info?

Before you whip out your GPS device of choice or a scrap of paper and pencil to jot down all the coordinates for our trips I should let you know not to bother. Now is a great time to discuss our policy on publishing GPS info: We don't. We don't meanto be secretive, exclusive, or create some massive customer database. No, all we want is a chance to get to know you first by email, phone, or in person. Once we have had a chance to talk Tread Lightly, a bit about cultural site preservation, make sure you have the right gear and knowledge before leaving your driveway, then we would be happy to hand the numbers over. We should all agree that the adventures we enjoy are worth taking care of for the future.

This small Native American was keeping a sharp lookout on the grounds or was sharply secured to the ground, I wasn’t sure which.

Oracle - Reddington - Cascabel - Benson

This is a graded dirt road suitable to any passenger sedan. But as always in the desert be aware of rain & flash floods. Even if the rain is distant the results could come your way very quickly.

I would recommend this as part of a loop out of Tucson for anyone going to Beson or Tombstone. Yes it is round about but worth the views. And the San Pedro River area is somewhere I would like to return and explore.

Weekend Loop West of Wickenburg

Have you ever wondered what you would get if you left work Friday at noon, passed through 2 ghost towns, 3 cemeteries, 3 ½ river crossings, 2 WWII tanks, 1 bald eagle, 1 frog who can’t swim, and 1 solar observatory, well you would have a great time on a looping route west of Wickenburg.
