Over Rover
Over Rover is over

We are sorry to announce that Over Rover will have to remain a dream for another day. Our project vehicle requires more mechanical and cosmetic fixes than would be practical in a raffle rig.

If this was something we were fixing up for ourselves or just as a play toy things would be fine, but with the intention to raffle it off, with the sponsors investing products and with our attention being pulled in a myriad of directions it just wouldn't be a project we could stand behind.

Even though we didn't use any sponsored products or cash I would still like to say a huge thank you to all the companies that offered to help or offered advice during the project.

I hope that someday we can re-enter the Rover World with a project and until then we will just have to enjoy attending event and hanging out with the great Rover owners we know.

Our First Sponsors for Over Rover

Our First Official Sponsors

Things are moving right along with Phase 1 Rough Rover, checking out the rig, looking for the little things to fix. However I had to bust out with the great news that we have our first official sponsors Sierra Expeditions & Rover Tracks.

Sierra Expeditions is our preferred gear vendor who helps out with all the little things, finding the right products for us and helping with the testing. Many of the items we review can be found on the Sierra website and of course since they know us well a disabled person can call them up and get help without any embarrassing explanations about your mobility issue.

We have been working with Sierra Expeditions for a while now so as soon as word of Project Rover got out Wil & Wen were asking what we needed and how they can help. You will get the same great treatment if you email or ring them up.

Keith at Rover Tracks really jumped into our project by contacting us with advice, his personal knowledge and some great parts for when we start Phase 2 Over Rover. This is our first Rover experience and knowing we can reach out for honest input makes all the difference in our confidence. Funny thing is the Rover Tracks sites was one of the first ones we looked at when thinking about this project since Keith has an excellent number of kits for Steering Damper Relocation and such.

Our New Project Rover

Sing along with us now "Range Rover Range Rover watch it get made over!"

Welcome to Project Rover, our 2 part adventure turning this 1992 Range Rover Classic Country into something anyone can use to get out and explore the back country. And soon you will be able to buy raffle tickets to WIN THIS RIG!

We welcome your comments and thoughts along the way as we start with Part 1 Rough Rover, where we will baseline the maintenance, do some simple low cost mod's and then get outdoors! Then will come Part 2 which with it's expedition and overlanding theme we are calling Over Rover. This will be the full on crazy fun build with all the tech goodies, storage solutions and gear you could ever dream of.

All throughout the project we will be doing short testing/camping trips in prep for our Epic Adventure which should span 3-4 weeks and take us into remote, historic and scenic parts of the back country (no we won't tell you where yet!). So check back often as we highlight the cost, hours and our observations of this venture into Rover World!
