Getting it all setup at SEMA
The W.A.V.E. makes an impact like a tsunami hitting the SEMA shores.
The Wheelchair Accessible Van for Expeditions is drawing crowds and generating tons of interest for the idea of disabled motorized access to the back country. From retailers wanting to learn more about helping the disabled who visit their shops, to manufacturers checking out how we evaluate gear, to media representatives wanting to hear about our efforts offering therapeutic outdoor experiences, there was something for everyone who stopped by the Disabled Explorers booth.
The picture above is of our booth during setup. Below is the van on display with Chris of Lucrum Industries demonstrating the wheelchair lift.

The wheelchair lift demonstrations drew huge crowds. At times it was difficult to take pictures of the van because there were so many people around the booth.

Some of the folks who happened by also happened to be disabled and we invited them into the W.A.V.E to see its features close up.

And a few very special friends dropped by to see the latest project from Disabled Explorers. Here's off-road and NASCAR racing legend Walker Evans. Walker's son Evan Evans is also a champion off-road racer and a paraplegic.

Here's Sean Holman of Fourwheeler Magazine. Sean came by several times during the show.
